The First Composition: A Shared Reinvention in the Mekong Delta
The Sudden Horizon
Life often moves in directions we do not choose, and for us, the path led unexpectedly from London to the tropical pulse of Vietnam. This relocation was a journey I took with Mauro; without him, I would never have reached this new horizon.
As we navigated this transition together with our son, I realized I was being called to reinvent myself. It was through this shared leap of faith that my vision for a soap house finally became a reality.
A Soap Maker’s Heaven
I soon discovered that Vietnam is a sanctuary for those who work with the earth. To a creator, it felt like being a child in a Luna Park—a playground of raw, noble ingredients. The land is rich with botanical wealth, and I found myself surrounded by the "white gold" of the region: pure, organic coconut oil, harvested from the local farms of the Delta.
The Truth of the Archive
With the abundance of the land at my fingertips, I decided that our first collection would be an homage to this discovery. I chose to build our formulas upon this local coconut oil, infusing it with Lavender to bridge the heritage of the East with the memories of our past. In Vietnam, my soap business was no longer just a concept; because of our journey as a family, it became a real truth. It was the moment the first Mauli composition was born.
